T-Model Ford
By Margo Cooper
Greenville based guitarist T-Model Ford best embodies the wild Mississippi bluesman persona these days. Known for sipping his Jack Daniels and playing for six or seven hours straight, T-Model Ford does it the old school way. Ford recounts his story from his early days in Forrest, Mississippi, to run-ins with the KKK, driving mules, working in the timber industry, and finally picking up playing blues late in life. His personal philosophy is as powerful as it is fascinating.

Eddie Cusic
By Barry Lee Pearson
Leland, Mississippi–based bluesman Eddie Cusic tells his life story. Like many bluesmen, Cusic learned to play at a young age, built the beginnings of a career—which included being musical mentor to Little Milton—and then had to put it down to raise a family, only to pick it back up late in life. These days Cusic is one of the elder statesmen of Mississippi blues and performs at festivals around the world.

Big Ron Hunter
By Scott M. Bock
Newcomer Big Ron Hunter hails from around Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and has just released his first album. Hunter picked up guitar in the 1960s and played in various local bands. He was mentored by bluesman Guitar Gabriel and developed his unique style while raising a family and working a day job. Retired now, Hunter is looking to break into the blues scene and play his music.
